Zylberstein is a character from Lupin the 3rd Part 5.
History[]
Zylberstein appears to be a wealthy person and likes to play chess. According to Daisuke Jigen, he is a psychotic rich guy.
In North Africa, he hired Mirage (daughter) to try to take out Lupin III however she ended up taking out a waitress and a police officer. The bullets all had chess moves engraved on them. Outside his mansion and laying on a sun lounger, Zylberstein invited Lupin that he had accepted.
Lupin went to Zylberstein and says that they met three years ago, he says that he is still in good health. They played chess outside a cabin in the bottom of a canyon with the winner getting €1 million while Jigen and Mirage target each other. Zylberstein wants to see Lupin getting killed, he claimed that playing against Lupin to be fun and tells him about Mirage (mother) that he hired while she started out. He also says that Fujiko Mine pales by comparison in terms of beauty.
Lupin claimed checkmate however he was referring to Jigen and Mirage. As Jigen appeared to be taken out, Mirage aims at Lupin however she ends up having a ricochet shot as she fired at Zylberstein's right leg due to Jigen shooting at her sniper rifle. He fell down to the ground also knocking down his chess table, screaming in pain from his leg. Lupin used his tie to bandaged up the shot while Zylberstein was calling out chess moves and collapsed while being happy.
While he appeared to have died, he returned in Episode 21 back on his sun lounger typing from his laptop. He was angry and posted on PeopleLog getting himself a B rating.
