Inside the dream, he defies every Italian to beat him in the thing he's most versed, and if the challenger prevails, he'll be able to wake up, or otherwise his/her consciousness will be "reprogrammed" based on Leonardo's own, with the final objective to create a nation of geniuses with the necessary knowledge to create a new world. Notes[]
- When Lupin wakes up after contacting Leonardo da Vinci who made him asleep is a reference to Part 1 Episode 13 where Kyosuke Mamo contacts Lupin while he was sleeping. Leonardo threatening to make Rebecca disappear is also a reference to the episode however it was Fujiko instead.
- The eye catches for the episode feature Pycal and Kyosuke Mamo as well as the Part 1 design of Fujiko.
- The floating castle with the toothy faced entry seems heavily inspired by Howl's Moving Castle.
