Hiya. As mentioned from the title, there is some important news about the wiki.
Firstly 291 episodes and all films/TV Specials/OVAs have either a screen capture or an image. The only things that are currently missing are Inspector Zenigata (live action), Lupin Shanshei and Mankatsu however they are obscure and may take some time locating them, they aren't translated into English.
More characters have been done and the ones that haven't been done (or done yet) at least have an image. The music side has been increasing nicely and two new contributors have focused on characters from Lupin III: The First.
Also in terms of the pink jacket (Part 3), it is the most complete source in English of the series. Outside of episodes 35, 40 and 47 that the translations may not be correct, most of the episode titles have been re-translated and no longer using dubious mid-1990s fan translations that translate from romaji. It isn't complete though, there's still more to dive in there...
That's the good news but the bad news? Well... It is my time to say that I am going to be stepping down as admin for the wiki in the near future.
For my decision to step down is not to be made lightly. The original plan was until the wiki has a majority of the series covered, got popular enough so it could be a smooth transition or as long as Fandom survives. In fact one of my original plans was to set up a network with TMS shows (Detective Conan, Space Adventure Cobra, Rose of Versailles, Dr Stone, etc). You know like some wikis they have a section underneath of a production company (or a manga publication)? It would have been that.
The only reason why is due to severe health issues that has developed this year since March and they have gotten worse. This was meant to be announced in June however various factors have prevented me from doing so including the health issues, this also prevents me from doing other stuff too. Also thought to announce it this early while I can still able to.
The other bad news is that the poll is broken but last time I checked it was close, Yasuo Yamada had won the poll for favorite Lupin voice actor.
Q&A[]
When will you step down as administrator?
It will happen some point in late 2020-2021 (no latter than the 50th anniversary of Green Jacket in 2021 but doubtful). After that point, I might do the odd edit, censorship note and character until I will no longer be able to do so. When that will happen, I'm not sure myself.
What will happen to the wiki?
When the time comes, VampireNaomi and Kyubu are your admins. If you need any help, they are there to help you.
If in the event that they leave or retire, the wiki will be orphaned and it will be up to the Fandom Anime Team.
Is another wiki going to be set up (e.g. JoJo Wiki, Detective Conan World or Wikimoon)?
No. The Lupin III series is not well known enough outside of Japan and Italy to justify an outside wiki. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Detective Conan and Sailor Moon (except the UK) are popular enough to have other wikis. Besides the only thing that would justify would be stuff that would break the Fandom guidelines such as Fujiko being Fujiko.
If there is going to be another Lupin wiki, it would be down to whoever would make it.

Will there be any more updates?
As a wiki, it is all down to the people. If others edit, the wiki will last.
As for progress reports, it will be up to the admins whether they will continue. Most likely not as they will made just to show that the wiki is active and for those who want to know the change log in a clear way. After all the wiki got a massive update in 2019 both from myself and the Fandom team, the largest that it ever received. The progress reports stopped due to my health and with the removal of Wiki Activity, it would have been viable.
Is this why some sections such as characters are very basic?
Yes. The time it takes to do a character section varies between source. A film or a TV Special character especially a main character takes longer than a character who appeared in an episode. Codfrey from Fujiko Mine's Lie was very close to being on the wiki however a computer freeze with no way of backing up meant that have to re-watch it all over again. The computer (different than the old one where it couldn't cope on the TV Specials/movies) seems to like freezing up when playing videos over time. Also I have not seen everything including some high profile entries such as The First, Tokyo Crisis, Walther P38 so knowledge on those are not as good as something that I have seen and even then (e.g. despite that all 50 episodes of Part 3 are on the wiki, only seen the first 18). Some have been contributions from other editors.
I want to translate the wiki into another language, may I?
Yes you can! While the wiki is global, some people may not understand English or English very well. All you have to do is let us know via the message wall. If successful, it will be linked on the Main Page. Highest priority are Italian, French, Spanish, Tagalog, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese and Russian however other languages are welcomed.
If you want a head start, all content that I have provided in the wiki is free to use for translation. The Japanese wiki also has not been edited since 2018 so if anyone wants to take over make a request as an admin here: [3]
Are you quitting because of the UCP?
No. The UCP might be buggy and glitchy causing some problems on the wiki including its appearance but it is not unusable and many of the bugs will be fixed over time. While personally Fandom should have waited a bit longer rolling it out until it was either completely ready or at least in a less buggy state, it is understandable why it was done. Then again we are in the era where a majority of games gets Day 1 and Day 7 patches and everything from TVs to phones to fridges require firmware updates so...
