Stern is a character from Lupin the 3rd Part 1.
History[]
Stern is the ruthless leader of the criminal syndicate Kirein-Killers, he coerced Dr. Heinlein and his assistant Linda into developing the Third Sun flower into a destructive weapon.
His team attacks Lupin and Jigen at the coast, but they get away. The syndicate then shoots down Fujiko's plane, but she survives.
Stern then captures Lupin. He interrogates Lupin, but he isn't willing to co-operate. He then beats Stern up and leaves him bound and gagged in the cell. Once he escapes, he tries harvesting the Third Sun, but Lupin and Dr. Heinlein destroy the flowers, at the unfortunate cost of Linda's life.
Down in the submarine, he confronts Lupin, but is knocked out by Fujiko.

Stern makes a cameo appearance as a racer in the 50th anniversary celebration video, Is Lupin Still Burning?.

- Stern bears a resemblance to Jigen, although it's not known if this was intentional.
