Notes[]
- In the Italian dub, this was the first appearance of Stefano Onofri who took over the Lupin role after the death of Roberto Del Giudice. According to him, the dubbing was a disaster since it was done in a day in two afternoon sessions, the person who adapted the script had no experience and considered it a bad script. He was thankful that he had Giorgio Lopez who was an experienced voice actor and director working on the dub. [1]
- It is one of the few rare occasions in the Italian dub where it is Daisuke Jigen rather than Jigen Daisuke.
- This special along with the Pilot Film, Lupin the 3rd Part 2 and Lupin III vs. Detective Conan are the only Lupin related animations that had some animation done in house by TMS Entertainment rather than just production.
- In the International master used in the Italian dub, there were some changes:
- The special is known for its spectacular amount of gay jokes among the main characters, from Lupin drooling over Goemon's cleavage to Zenigata nuzzling Lupin's face and gazing into his eyes like he's about to kiss him at any second.
- The locations and the days of the week were not listed despite being in English.
- In the Japanese original, the credits were done first then the outcome on the race track. In the International master, the outcome was done first after the ending then the credits.
