Three years before the event of Lupin the 3rd Part 1, Poon was an assassin who partnered with Fujiko Mine known in the criminal underworld as "The Golden Pair".
He was murdered by Fujiko who was carried by Lupin III. Daisuke Jigen gave him his condolences as he lifted his hat.
After Lupin is sent to the past in Is Lupin Still Burning?, Poon is killed by Lupin instead of Fujiko. This leads Fujiko to shoot Lupin to avenge her former partner.
