Pierre Schmidt is a character from Lupin the Third Part 5.
Character History[]
Pierre used to run a company that developed the technology for security systems however when Count Maupassant bought the company, he was let go. After being redundant, he struggled getting his ventures off the ground and ended up being a computer repairman earning a small living. He developed alcohol dependency as he drinks out of his container and has red cheeks on his face in most of his appearances.
When Isabelle invited him, Frédéric Hautrette and Allan Dubois to her estate as they were suspects for a murder and sat in the dining room, he asked her that "there's no food?". She showed them the emerald that they were interested in and gasped. As he wanted to go, Frederic asked him whether he was running away. Allan called Pierre "a washed up drunk" and Frederic laughed.
After the murder of Isabelle and she pulled the drawbridge of the castle with the remote, Pierre went straight into his room and fell asleep.
Marie got Frederic and Allan into the dining room, they looked bored as they wait for Pierre who then came with his drink and said that he dozed off. As Lupin talking about finding the murderer, he claims that it "sounds like fun" as he has another drink and talks about removing the weapons and knives from the building. After asking Lupin replies that it came from the Countess's gun. As Lupin explains what happened, Pierre claimed that it was stupid and no one in the room had done the murder as he yelled and put his hand onto his chest.
While Frederic claims that Marie had killed Isabelle, Pierre believes that she is hungry for the fortune. Lupin explained and showed that Marie was not the murderer, believing that the killer closed the curtains as it was a problem and Marie mentioned the power outage. Pierre gasped that the door was opened and witnessed the events that happened.
It is unknown what happens afterwards what he did in the castle.
