Notes[]
- Queen Gretchen is based on Grace Kelly who was Princess of Monaco. Her death was over 2 years before the episode got aired and was an influence to the beginning of the episode where she drives off the mountainside.
- On the TV that Jigen was watching, on top of the news report of Queen Gretchen says OH, a reference to Oh! Production who animated the episode.
- The game that Lupin was playing at the beginning of the episode was Xevious. At the high score screen, it has the names of the characters in Western order except Lupin where he is credited as L.3. Goemon's name was misspelled on the high score board as Isikawa rather than Ishikawa.
- When Lupin is reading a magazine called SCREEN, at the back cover there is an advert for The Legend of the Gold of Babylon that premiered two weeks after the episode however despite having his name (ルパンIII), the character does not resemble Lupin. The front cover also has a Godzilla parody in pink.
