Mistakes[]
- From 11:58 to 12:04 Goemon is thinking with his left hand despite that his left arm is already down. Also the color changes between his hair color and his skin color when Lupin speaks. This scene is often shared online in out of context accounts and is also a small scale meme.
Translation Notes[]
The title translates as Great Free-for-all by one piece of treasure. While there are various Japanese words for lottery (ちゅうせん chuusen, ふくびき fukubiki or variations of くじ / 籤 / 鬮 kuji) they are not used in this title and neither is the word ticket (チケット chiketto, ティケット tiketto, テケツ teketsu). TMS decided to use the term lottery or lotto to make it easier to understand in English, lottery is also used in the Italian dub.
When Zenigata asks the "interviewer" who disappeared "Huh. How do you know I'm Interpol?" in the original Japanese soundtrack, he says ICPO.
Notes[]
- The character design for Lupin in this episode is closer to the character designs that featured in the manga and the Lupin the Third: Pilot Film with his long chin.
- The animation is off model throughout the episode, Tatsuo Yanagino (aka Tatsuo Ryuno) was the main animator for the episode focusing on expressive and fluid animation.
- ZTV is a parody of YTV who aired the series.
- The TV that the bar was watching from says "MAREY BOB" is a reference to Bob Marley.
