Translation Notes[]

  • In the Italian dub, there is no mention of the Untouchables (which would be translate to I Intoccabili), and instead of Elliott Ness, Lupin compares himself to James Bond (007). Likewise, Goemon describes himself as "only the most famous samurai of the lot" instead of stating that he's part of the Shinsengumi.
  • In the Spanish dub, Goemon mentions "a group of famous samurai" instead of the Shinsengumi".

Notes[]

  • There is a poster of "Tama vs Gozira", the latter being a reference to Godzilla but changed due to copyright reasons. Hiroshi Kashiwabara later wrote the screenplay of "Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla".
  • Peter Honda, Connery and Stallone are named after film stars Peter Fonda, Sean Connery and Sylvester Stallone. Their names are not mentioned in the episode however they were given in Lupin III DVD Collection Vol. 53.[1]
  • Lupin III references The Untouchables and names drops Eliot Ness.
  • Zenigata once again casually remarks about Interpol's systemic corruption. This time around, he can't even afford a hotel and was found sleeping on the street.
