Translation Notes[]

Both Lupin and Seila say Revenge in English when the cocktail was introduced rather than 復讐 (fukushū). The next sentence Lupin says the name in Japanese as the line resembles the episode title however カクテル (kakuteru) and 復讐 (fukushū) were swapped.

In the Japanese original, when Jigen says they're all setting up to play 'Hamlet', Goemon gets confused and asks "What do you mean ham?". In the Italian dub, he looks at his burger and says "To eat or not to eat?"

Censorship[]

Mistakes[]

  • 5:12-5:18 - The top of the tape deck says CASSET rather than cassette however it is spelled correctly on the left hand side.

Notes[]

  • This episode was an adaptation of the Sexy Lupin III chapter "Rolls Sailor" (ロールス セーラー). Yasushi Hirano wrote both the manga chapter and the episode. The woman's name was changed from セーラー (sērā, can be translated as Sailor or Saylor) to セイラ (seira) in the adaptation.
  • The Betamax tape that Fujiko Mine gave to Lupin says SANY rather than Sony due to copyright reasons.
  • When NTV done the listings to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Lupin the 3rd, it had listed ルビ:リベンジ (rubi : ribenji) by the side of the title. The Ruby character is to show that the cocktail is called Revenge rather than 復讐 (fukushū). It is the only episode in the series to have an addition.[1]
