Beirut Mobile Bank Robbery Operation is the 23rd episode of Lupin the 3rd Part III.

Synopsis[]

The Swiss Bank’s Beirut branch is a mobile branch. It also has the odd distinction of being the safest bank in the world, despite being in the world’s most dangerous place. It’s also the branch where all the oil money from the Arab world gets deposited. Will Lupin manage to pull off the heist of this impenetrable bank and get out safely with Inspector Zenigata on his tail?

Notes[]

  • The mobile bank is a blatant reference to the Crimson Permanent Assurance skit from the 1983 movie Monty Python & The Meaning of Life.
  • The episode is set against the background of the Lebanese Civil War, which lasted from 1975 to 1990.
