"Fire Doesn't Suit a Diamond" is the 22th episode of Lupin the 3rd Part III.

Synopsis

Lupin and his gang break into a vault full of uncut diamonds. However, the diamonds suddenly catch on fire and guess who is being blamed for it! Lupin quickly discovers the diamonds are fakes and it was all a ploy to raise the price of diamonds at the expense of his reputation. With the price of diamonds at an all time high, where are real diamonds and will Lupin get his revenge against the man who framed him?

Translation Notes

In the English Crunchyroll translation, there were changes:

• 6:20-6:22 - Zantetsuken was changed to your sword.

In the Italian MITO film dub, instead of Zenigata laughing when he was about to leave the room, it was Lupin as he was disguised as Zenigata.

For unknown reasons in the first Italian dub, Lupin calls Zenigata "Ispettore" rather than Zaza.

Notes

• Gyaguni is nameless in the episode, his name came from Lupin III DVD Collection Vol. 50.
• On the newspaper that Daisuke Jigen was reading, one of the pages name drops the series listing as Lupin the 3rd Part Three. The newspaper also lists the date as August 7.
• In the first Italian dub, the episode is presented uncut on the DVD with no known censorship however it is unknown whether the opening before the title card was cut in TV airings due to the difference in audio quality.
