Farewell, Golden Legend is the 21st episode of Lupin the 3rd Part III.
Synopsis[]
An ancient burial mound has been discovered and etched on its walls are ancient mythical creatures with jewel-encrusted eyes. Lupin makes off with the blue dragon’s crystal eye and kidnaps the archeologist in charge. The archeologist reveals that when the blue dragon’s crystal eye is brought together with two other ancient crystals, they reveal a map to the legendary Golden Paradise. Lupin and his gang are determined to find the Golden Paradise, but has the archeologist told them everything he knows?

(Note: Since this was compared with the Italian DVDs, the TV airings might be more censored.) Only one line was cut in the Italian dub:
- 4:07-4:09 (2:29-2:31 on Italian DVD) Lupin saying to Jigen "What? This baby'll outrun a patrol car." was cut for no reason, it switches to Japanese on the DVDs.
Translation Notes[]
For the Italian dub and the English subtitles that were used in UTB Hollywood broadcast and on Crunchyroll, the Chinese characters were renamed.
- Yōrei Chin had become Chin Yang Rien.
- Taizen Ō had become Wang Taipan.
- Professor Yang was also renamed however the English subtitles were inconsistent between Professor Yao and Yau.
- Corporal Lee was changed to Sergeant Li.
The CDR Italian dub switches between Corporal and Sergeant.
