The episode was partially reanimated between the International version used in the Italian and English dubs and the later Japanese version, this makes one of the few occasions in the franchise where this occurs. All of the scenes that featured Lupin were redrawn changing from a simplified character design to his design in the series.
Lupin drives past Zazà Ramen[2], a restaurant that is based in Milan and is named after the Italian dub nickname of Zenigata. According to the about page, this is intentional, "The first clue is in the name: in the Italian version of the incredibly popular Manga series Lupin III, Zazà is the well-liked Inspector Zenigata, who is often seen eating Ramen. The choice of name is a metaphor, with a touch of irony, for a popular Japanese product proposed to an Italian audience. Ramen is the most popular dish in Japan and here, in the heart of Milan, we find a high-quality, authentic version that is rigorous in its approach and clearly aware of the ingredients of Italian gastronomic culture."
