Censorship[]
Italian[]
In the Italian TV airings, all of the scenes that showed Ianne with blood were either cut or replaced with freeze frames.
- When got Ianne shot, it was replaced with a freeze frame of Lupin. The shot wobbles and color bleeds during this scene hinting that a bit was removed during this scene to hide all the blood from her.
- Just as Ianne is holding the sapphire, there is a freeze frame of the sapphire to hide the blood on her dress.
Notes[]
- The synopsis used on streaming sites mistakenly calls Fujiko, Fujita for unknown reasons.
- The original Japanese name is a reference to The Girl Who Leapt Through Time that was a popular science fiction book by Yasutaka Tsutsui that has been referenced and remade many times. The English name used on Crunchyroll is "The Time Traveling Girl" however it is unknown whether the name came directly from TMS and/or renamed it out of copyright reasons. Discotek later reused this title for the DVD release.
- This was the only episode directed by Hideo Nishimaki who also worked as a story-boarder for episodes 102 and 104.
- This is one of the few times in the Italian dub that ICPO is used rather than changed to Interpol however it was pronounced as IC-PO rather than I-C-P-O.
- There are a few scenes where Lupin's character design from The Mystery of Mamo appears; very briefly during the car chase, when he is outside gathering his clothes, when Jigen mentions the "Red Spider" and Lupin asks and where he is locked up inside the van with Jigen and Goemon.
- The ending where the Lupin gang on camels and Zenigata walking in the desert, an original sung song plays. In the Italian dub, this was kept in its original Japanese rather than translated and on the DVDs, a second of the ending theme (without the previews) plays by mistake since they are cut.
