Translation Notes[]

The Red Travel Group is based on the Red Brigades, an Italian militant group that was in operation from 1970 to 1988. It was not the same group as it was translated as 赤い旅行団 (Akai ryokōdan) while the Red Brigades is 赤い旅団 (Akai ryodan) in Japanese. On the English Discotek translation, this was renamed to Red Brigadeers to keep with the Japanese word play while the English synopsis named this Red Voyagers League. The Italian Blu-ray had translated this as Gruppo viaggi rossi and the Italian dub had removed the name as they were still active at the time of the dub.

At the ending, Lupin sneezes when the screen goes white into the preview. This was not dubbed in the Italian dub and the sneeze was not translated in the Italian Blu-ray however it is unknown whether both Spanish dubs and the Valencian dub had the sneeze.

Mistakes[]

  • 21:10-21:13 - Zenigata's hat is miscolored having a darker shade of brown.
  • 21:29-21:30 - The boots are in brown instead of black.

Censorship[]

Italian[]

In the Italian airing, the ending was cut short just before Lupin gets frozen in the ice and shouting. This is hard to notice if it was not for the "Theme of Lupin III 79" cutting before the credits.
