"Fujiko! It's Tough Being a Man" is the 81st episode of Lupin the 3rd Part 2.
Synopsis[]
Lupin is after the Golden Bell, symbol of the monarchy of Beltenberg and precious tourist attraction. However, the bell that sparkles in the belfry is just a brass replica. Though Fujiko insists that the bell made of gold doesn't exist, Lupin believes to the contrary. Meanwhile, Lupin gets news of Fujiko's engagement to prince Claude of Beltenberg, whom she had met in Paris.

Translation Notes[]
On the English Discotek translation, the country is translated as Bertenburg however on Lupin III DVD Collection, the official English title is given as Belltenburg[2] while the English synopsis and the Crunchyroll translation used Beltenburg.
- The English Crunchyroll translation had some translation changes:
- Daddio and Pops were used as the English nicknames of Koichi Zenigata. The former may have came from TMS from the 1980s translation scripts that were used as a base for the dubs. The first time was Daddio, the rest of the episode was Pops. From Part 2 Episode 82, Pops or Zenigata were used however Daddio still appeared in the titles, previews or mistakes.

- The original Japanese title is a reference to a comedy film series called "It's Tough Being a Man" (男はつらいよ, Otoko wa Tsurai yo) renamed to Tora-san outside of Japan. A woman called Fujiko appeared twice in the series as the madonna role that Tora-san falls in love with. The ぜ (ze) at the end indicates that it is used by men and is an informal colloquial pattern. The English name used on Crunchyroll is "Fujiko, Men Are a Sorry Lot!" however it is unknown whether the name came directly from TMS and/or renamed it out of copyright reasons. Discotek later reused this title for the DVD release.
- During the report of Fujiko and the prince getting engaged, the newspaper clippings come from other sources with pictures stuck on top of the articles replacing the photos. The first one is regarding tourism reporting about airlines and the fares mixed with a news report about a rocket in Iran. The second is about crossword puzzles mentioning Margaret Farrar and the Crossword tournament being won by Miriam Raphael. The final one is an article about Robert Redford in Utah filming "The Electric Horseman" mixed with Muslim women. It is currently unknown which English newspaper TMS had used for this scene however it would date it around March 5, 1979.
- The Japanese original had text during the newspaper printings however this was removed in the International master used on Crunchyroll.
