Translation Notes[]
When Lupin arrives at the airport and talks to Marilyn, he speaks in English. On the Italian Blu-ray, this was kept in English rather than being translated to emphasize that he was speaking in English. This was changed in the Italian dub and changed her name to Marianne.
The curry and rice song was changed in the English dub to remove "fukujin-suke" towards the pickles and added "floppy" to the description of the rice, the Italian dub however had kept this in Japanese rather than being dubbed. The English Geneon subtitles added pickles towards Fukujinzuke while the Italian subtitles had removed the added note. Yasuo Yamada's voice can also be heard on the Italian dub during this scene.
The English dub has a few extra bits of dialogue, including an "Aw, crap" from Jigen after the princess flips Lupin.
Censorship[]
Italian[]
- In the Italian TV airings, the scene where Yasmin gets tentacle raped was replaced by freeze frames showing Lupin's reaction and the scene where Lupin grabs Yasmin's breast and she attacks him was also replaced with freeze frames. It's likely that either the voice actors were kept or replaced.
The missing lines from the latter scene were this:
Lupin: No, no, no, it was only a joke!
(He laughs nervously and idly drums his fingers on Yasmin's breast)
Yasmin: Get off!
(She flips him)
Jigen: What? It looks like Lupin has had a fiasco with a woman.
(He laughs)
Notes[]
- This episode features flashback footage from Part 2 Episode 1 and like previous appearances, it was written by Tadaaki Yamazaki. Mister X did reappear in Is Lupin Still Burning? but in his Part 1 look.
- Mister X's cyborg form was slightly redesigned to be much softer and rounder when he escaped from the Sirloin.
- On Italian TV airings, this episode was aired as the final episode of the series instead of Part 2 Episode 155 due to both the other Lupin plotline as well as a link between the first episode of Parts 1 and 2.
- In the Spanish dub, Lupin and Jigen's sighs after they free Goemon's foot from the closing door were not dubbed.
