Translation Notes[]
In the Japanese original, the boxing referee speaks in English. On the Italian Blu-ray subtitles, this was kept in English rather than being translated to emphasize that he was speaking in English. This was changed in the Italian dub and the first number sequence was also changed from "4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9" to "2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7" and added okay. Fight was also changed to Box and Sorton is nameless. In the English dub, the referee says "How many fingers am I holding up? Ya alright? Fight!", filling in the silence that was present in the original Japanese.
Zaclyne was renamed to Jacqueline in the Italian dub and the English synopsis.
In the English dub, after Lupin says "It's the safe she thought I didn't know about", his mouth continues moving for a couple more frames but he doesn't say anything.
Notes[]
- The people that attended the party are named after various high profile Americans. Mr. Dockefellar is based on John D. Rockefeller, President Ronson is based on President Lyndon B. Johnson and General Paton is named after General Patton.
- When Monkey Punch passed away and the news was given on the April 16, 2019, in Italy Mediaset dedicated this episode and Episode 48 in his memory. Messages were displayed throughout the episode on Italia 2.
- In the English dub of the preview for this episode, Lupin calls her "Jackie O", a possible reference to Jacqueline Onassis, the widow of President John F. Kennedy.
