Translation Notes[]
Torombo mispronouncing Inspector Koichi Zenigata's name is different in the dubs. In the Japanese original, he had called him "Jonigata" while the English dub gave him the name "Benihana" and the Italian dub "Jenigata". The French dub had also gave him the name Latrogne since Zenigata was renamed to Lacogne in the dub. Due to the different name in the Spanish Telecinco dub, it is unknown what Torombo had renamed Basilio.
In the English dub, Torombo was given the first name Francisco. Zenigata also presented himself from Interpol in the Italian and English dubs rather than Japan sent from the ICPO.
Mistakes[]
- As part of the con, Lupin replaces the Chief in charge of the launch and keeps him bound and gagged up in his office after stealing his clothes. The real Chief has his mouth taped shut, but the gag inexplicably changes to a piece of cloth wrapped around his head in a few shots.
Notes[]
- In the French dub, Lupin asks Zenigata to convey his respects to Zenigata's wife and to the little one. This is a nod to The Mystery of Mamo where Zenigata has a daughter called Toshiko however this does not appear in the original Japanese, Italian and English dubs.
