Encounter with the Deadly Iron Lizard is the 25th episode of Lupin the 3rd Part 2.
Synopsis[]
There is a prison from which it is said that no one attempts to escape. The reason is that the prison is guarded by the fearsome Iron Lizards: self-propelled bombs that are able to locate and destroy a person, due to their DNA being inputted in a miniature computer inside the lizard. Lupin and company learn that Fujiko is being held captive by the warden, who wants to have sex with her. In order to save her, Lupin, Jigen and Goemon get inside the prison, but end up captured by the warden who enters their genetic data into the Iron Lizards.

Translation Notes[]
The English dub had rewritten dialogue loosely following the plot of the original and extra lines were added.
In the English dub, the episode was renamed Lair of the Land-Shark due to the Iron Lizards resembling a shark rather than a lizard. The episode instead called them missiles, although a couple of characters called them "land sharks". The Italian dub had also renamed the Iron Lizard to Steel Sharks for the same reason. The original manga chapters that the episode was based on were translated after the episode had aired in both Italy and the US.
Prisoner 1980 was given the name J.D. in the English dub.
In the English dub, the Prison Director had his personality changed to be more devious, using more dramatic language and more of a sinister villain. The English dub also added that his background was designing children's toys.
The Prison Director makes a reference to The Wizard of Oz in the English dub.
The English dub also has Fujiko demand that Lupin not look down her slip as he's pulling her up.
