Synopsis[]
Inside a European border town, known as "The Grand Hexagon", lies Nazi gold on a scale that would make the world tremble if it knew. The precise location of the gold is Laika Bank, which uses a construction of stacks of gold bullion, and has an alarm system that goes off if even one bar is missing. Fifty tons of gold bullion in total: If we can't have any missing, then we'll simply replace them!

- This was planned to be the final episode of the series however Telecom and Hayao Miyazaki were available to do one more episode.
- The episode was originally aired in stereo however some airings of the episode are in mono as the stereo master tape was thought to be lost. It is unknown whether the Lupin the Third Vol. 3 Laserdisc was in stereo. The stereo tape was recovered and used in Japanese broadcasts when the episodes were remastered. The Italian and Spanish dubs are in mono.
