Wad of Bills Given from God is the 153rd episode of Lupin the 3rd Part 2.
Synopsis[]
Once a year, ICPO takes the money they've collected from criminals all over the world to a Swiss bank, where they make an accounting. This year, Zenigata is given the task of escorting the money, which makes taking it like candy from a baby to Lupin. He acquires it easily enough, but all those bills are a major obstacle to getting away. Just then, they spot Sister Joanna's church... in need of renovation.

On the Italian TV airings, due to adding the Italian title card at the beginning rather than its spot in the Japanese original removes the first scene where Koichi Zenigata and the ICPO Chief are walking towards the ICPO Underground Safe. This is both a mistake and intentional due to featuring Japanese text. This affects all TV airings from the original EuroTV airing in the early 1980s to the current airings on Italia 2 however this was fixed on the Italian Blu-ray.
Due to copyright reasons all the scenes with Daisuke Jigen's Rolex watch are replaced with a freeze frame later in the scene with Jigen, Lupin III and Goemon Ishikawa XIII waiting.
Notes[]
- The episode was originally aired in stereo and presented in stereo on the Lupin the Third Vol.5 Laserdisc however later airings of the episode are in mono as the stereo master tape was lost. The Italian and Spanish dubs were also in mono.
- Due to copyright reasons, the Pioneer radio that Lupin, Jigen and Goemon were listening on says DIONEER. Pioneer was later involved with the Lupin the 3rd Part 2 English dub however they did not get to this episode, an image from this episode was used on the back of Vol. 15 - Thievin' Ain't Easy.
- Zenigata puts a sign saying CM when he arrives at the police station toilet. The eye catch then plays, telling us that Zenigata wants to cut to the commercial break.
- One of the few times Goemon drinks something other than sake.
