Synopsis[]

The operation this time is to take an entire shipment of South African diamonds, but oddly enough, Pops is calm and relaxed. He lets Lupin escape and takes Fujiko prisoner. Notes[]

  • This is one of the few episodes in the franchise that only stars the main five characters with no major episode only characters, the only other characters are police officers that are with Inspector Koichi Zenigata.
  • On the Italian TV airings, due to adding the Italian title card at the beginning rather than its spot in the Japanese original removes the first scene where it is showing that the beginning is set in Nice, France. This is both a mistake as the song "Roller's Paradise" by Akira Kushida is cut off at the beginning missing "it's like a" and intentional due to featuring Japanese text. This affects all TV airings from the original EuroTV airing in the early 1980s to the current airings on Italia 2 as well as DVD and the Blu-ray where the title card placement is the original and fixed the missing scene but the song is still cut off.
  • The version that was uploaded on Crunchyroll is the International master since the text saying "Nice, France" at the beginning of the episode was removed.
