Synopsis[]

The Marine Tower Observation Room is essentially a safe room floating in midair, accessible only by a single see-through elevator. Lupin and co. plan to raid the annual diamond auction, which is being held in the room itself. The success or failure of this job depends on Jigen's precise long-range marksmanship, but will he be up to the challenge?

Notes[]

  • The episode ranked #13 in the Lupin III Best Selection rerun of favorite episodes, as chosen by Japanese fans.
  • The episode was originally aired in stereo however some airings of the episode are in mono as the stereo master tape was thought to be lost. It is unknown whether the Lupin the Third Vol. 2 Laserdisc was in stereo. The stereo tape was recovered and used in Japanese broadcasts when the episodes were remastered. The Italian and Spanish dubs are in mono.
  • For better clarity regarding the "M" measurement as in the Japanese original added the measurement where the kana spelling is used, the titles used on Crunchyroll and on the Discotek DVD release added "Meters Away" due to that in the US, imperial measurements such as miles are commonly used. The Italian and Spanish dubs where metric measurement is standard just changed the "M" to meters.
