Synopsis[]
England's Lord Weather owns a famous horse named Red Arrow. Weather provokes Lupin with a bet, and dares him to steal Red Arrow away from him. Lupin takes the challenge as it's a matter of pride, but Jigen wants no part of it because he and Weather are gambling buddies. Will Lupin win the bet?

- The Grand Race is based on the Grand National, an annual horse race set at Aintree in the UK.
- Despite that this episode was not animated by Telecom, character designs from The Castle of Cagliostro are used in this episode for Lupin, Jigen, Goemon and in selected shots Zenigata. Duke Weather has the same facial expressions as Count Cagliostro including his mustache. Fujiko in a couple of shots also uses her Cagliostro facial design when she dumps Duke Weather.
- Fujiko wears Eliza Doolittle's outfit from the 1964 film of My Fair Lady at the race.
