Translation Notes[]

On the English translation used on Crunchyroll, Kimihiro's title was partially translated as the first name "Hajime" due to only translating the first character and changed his full name to Sergeant Hajime Kimihiro. This was mistranslated as it was his title of Flight Petty Officer First Class (一等飛行兵曹 Ittō-hikō-heisō), this is shortened to 一飛曹 (Ippisō). While the Italian Blu-ray had used the title in the subtitles as Ippisou, the Italian dub had rewritten his introduction.

The Italian dub had changed Isoroku Yamamoto to Generale Yamamoto.

As Kimihiro salutes the photo of Yamamoto, the Japanese original mentioned that it was Showa 18. This was changed in the Italian dub as the year was moved during the flashback and due to that the Showa era was unknown outside of Japan, it was changed to 1943. Both the Crunchyroll and the Discotek English translations also changed this to 1943.

During the roll call, Goemon Ishikawa XIII and Daisuke Jigen had said "ichi" (one) and "ni" (two) while Lupin III said trois. While Jigen and Goemon had changed their numbers in the Italian dub, Lupin was kept in French. Kimihiro asked Lupin whether he was Japanese while in the Italian dub, Kimihiro asked Lupin whether he was French. Lupin replied back in the Italian dub that he was French and Japanese and this remains in the Italian Blu-ray subtitles saying "I'm Lupin III, half Japanese and half French". This is also used in the English translation used on Crunchyroll. In the Japanese original, he just said that he was "mixed-blood Lupin III". 混血児 (konketsuji) that Lupin called himself is considered a derogatory term however it means a Japanese person with a parent who was not Japanese.
