Mistakes[]

The episode reveals that Jigen has a scar on his left arm. This is not shown again in future episodes, even when he is bare-chested.

Translation Notes[]

Due to the ambiguous phasing in the original Japanese title for only using a generic counter and the old English fan translation using "bells" despite only having one bell in the episode, the Crunchyroll title added times for clarity despite no ど (do), たび (tabi), or かい (kai) in the title. Discotek decided to name the title as "When's the 108th Bell?".

Notes[]

  • This episode was set during the new year and based on the traditional Buddhist ceremony of ringing a bell 108 times.
  • The episode was originally aired in stereo and presented in stereo on the Lupin the Third - The Second Series Vol.20 VHS tape however later airings of the episode are in mono as the stereo master tape was lost. The Italian and Spanish dubs were also in mono.
