"Which of the Third Generation Will Win!" is the 19th episode of Lupin the 3rd Part 1.
Synopsis[]
Inspector Ganimard III is the grandson of Arsène Lupin's arch-nemesis. He has come to Japan has the head of security for the 1972 France Fair but also intends to restore his family's honor by arresting Lupin III. Ganimard publicly baits Lupin into trying to steal his grandfather's items, that fell into the museum's possession some time after Arsène Lupin's death. Ganimard is convinced that reason and science will capture Lupin. Lupin takes up the challenge, and the third generation duel is on!

Lupin III manages to trick Ganimard III, Zenigata and the police by hiring hundreds of copies of himself to be arrested while the real Lupin disguised as a security guard along with Jigen stole his grandfather's personal clothes and items.

The car Jigen and Fujiko use for the heist is identified as a Fiat in the Japanese original, but not in the English dub.

When wrenching himself free from Ganimard's grasp, Zenigata tears his sleeve off. In the next scene it's back on.

- This is the first time where one of Inspector Ganimard's grandchildren crosses with Lupin III. The second time is in Part 2 Episode 28 with Melon Ganimard.
- In the French dub, due to copyright issues regarding the Arsène Lupin name, Edgar (Lupin III) is after the possessions of Gaspard de la Cambriole (Arsène Lupin). Ganimard III was also renamed to Inspecteur Gaillard.
- The first Miyazaki-directed episode of Part 1 to have its English dub premiering, it aired on Youtube on the 23rd of December 2021.
- Although a regular member of the team, Goemon is absent in the episode.
