"Let's Catch Lupin and Go to Europe" is the 15th episode of Lupin the 3rd Part 1.
Synopsis[]
Koichi Zenigata has been invited to an international police convention in Europe; his chief wants him to go, but Zenigata does not want to since Lupin III has declared that he will steal a gold bust within the next three days. Zenigata vows to catch Lupin before going to the convention. Lupin learns of this and begins to hatch a scheme that involves him being captured by Zenigata intentionally.

- In the English dub, when Zenigata runs out the door, he shouts "It's Lupin!"
- The English dub adds Jigen saying "Nice hat, huh?" after he reveals his trucker hat.
- In the German dub, Lupin greets his companions with a belch, as opposed to saying "Boo!" in the other versions.
Mistakes[]
When the camera pans over to Fujiko after Lupin tells the gang it was her idea for Lupin to get caught, part of her right arm isn't filled in. This is likely because the crew considered him touching her right arm, but instead he put his arm around her left shoulder.

- This episode along with Episode 11 makes up the majority of the third Opening of the series that the next episode onwards use.
- This is the first episode in the franchise where Lupin III, Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa XIII and Fujiko Mine all team up to steal an item without Fujiko betraying them with success. This sets up the tone for latter episodes such as Episode 18 and 19 as well as many from Lupin the 3rd Part 2.
- The letter that Zenigata reads has nothing to do with a police convention in France. It's actually the first verse of "Bonjour Paris" song by Francis Lemarque.[3] The retranscription contains misspelling.

- One of the people on the plane is reading MAD Magazine. Lupin the 3rd series was influenced by MAD Magazine for its creation. The man next to him is Yasuo Otsuka, an animator who was involved in the series focused on drawing vehicles and is known for wearing a cap.
- Some content of this episode has been recorded in the Lupin III Original Soundtrack Drama-hen vinyl.
- The episode's ending, where Lupin escapes prison to see Zenigata off on the plane, recalls the ending of the Arsène Lupin vs. Sherlock Holmes story where Lupin sees Holmes off on a train after the latter thinks he's outwitted the former.
