- The episode adapts the scene where Jigen collects the disassembled gun so he could fire at Stoneman. The relationship between Jigen and a woman was dropped in the episode, Lupin's vehicle exploded in the chapter while it partially survived in the episode, the gun was also changed from a Walther into Jigen's Model 19 magnum. While the duel took over a hour in the chapter, it was real time in the episode. Also instead of Jigen's clothes getting caught by the closing metal door, it is half of Lupin's car. Fujiko was also added into the episode.
- Stoneman features a different character design compared to the episode and in the OVA Is Lupin Still Burning? that reuses the anime design.
- The woman calls Jigen by his first name which is rarely mentioned or called by people.
