Mrs Dokonjo is a character from Lupin the Third Part II.
Character History[]
Mrs Dokonjo is a self published newspaper writer, publisher and seller who has a son called Benson Dokonjo Jr. She is the widow of Benson Dokonjo.
Desperate to sell more papers, she had published fake news by saying that the 100 carat diamond that was in the Loary Musical had been stolen by Lupin III, essentially framing him for a crime he not only didn't commit, but hadn't committed yet. She went to where the diamond was stored and put sleeping pills into the Haiguu liquor to make the security guard fall asleep. She then went downstairs and started to drill at the vault around the lock. Lupin had managed to follow her trail, and found that the old lady was an amateur. She didn't notice the guard was coming around, so Lupin pistol whipped him.
Mrs Dokonjo proved to be a bumbling thief, and Lupin did the best he could to protect her but fell through the ceiling disabling the alarm's external protector. She greeted him and admitted that she wrote the article. She took the diamond ring and gave it to him. She admited to Lupin that she exaggerated so her newspaper could sell.
Out on a bridge, Lupin was furious that she used his name against his will. She got upset, and Lupin took pity on her and tried to calm her down. He told her he forgave her, but warned her not to do it again.
As they walked along the bridge, she told Lupin of the hardships of selling a self-published newspaper, believing he wouldn't understand what it's like to run an honest business. She tried to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge, but again Lupin took pity on her and said she could continue writing articles. Lupin told her he to see the article first for his approval. She got the latest paper out of her bag. She then took the ring from Lupin and threw it into the river, to the thief's dismay.
Next, she asked him to steal a diaper on a laundry line, which he did in haste. As Lupin drove his annoyed gang along, Benson Jr. and his biker gang stopped him. At first it seems like Benson had tied up his own mother. She begs Lupin and his gang to drop their weapons. The gang does so and they're tied up. Then it turns out that Mrs. Dokonjo had once again played Lupin for a sucker, and announced that she was going to phone up Koichi Zenigata so Benson can get his $1 million reward.
The next day the latest issue of the Daily Doconjo was published and people were amazed that Lupin stole a diaper. Some thought that he had a child while others were in disbelief. She put the Lupin gang at the back of the truck and sprayed freezing water on them.
Lupin and the gang escaped from Mrs Dokonjo's trap and confronted her. She gave them their weapons back and told the gang she wanted to write an interesting story. Lupin then contacted Benson to let him know that he escaped and wants his revenge. As Lupin and the gang escaped on a motorbike with a sidecar, she added that to her story. As the gang made their escape, they suddenly stopped. Lupin realized Mrs. Dokonjo stole the gas from the motorbike.
The gang was ambushed by Benson and his mother.
While the fight was going on, Mrs. Dokonjo was eagerly taking pictures for the newspaper, even though Benson's opponents were just four people.
The gang defeated Benson, four to at least seventeen, but the old lady's work was destroyed and the newspaper she published only said "Geyo".
Notes[]
- While her last newspaper is suppose to be just Geyo, there are a few typos saying Geto.
