Mama (aka Union Mama) is the leader of a crime syndicate known as the Union who are a work for hire organisation where her assassins kill their targets.
History[]
While Mama runs the Union, she acts as an advisor as she relies on her members to do her work for her. Ichiro and Lucky are two of her henchmen. In both the manga and Part III, Fujiko Mine works for the Union however in Part 5, Fujiko works for herself. According to Mama, Fujiko is her Number One.
Her personality varies between sources as she was complimenting, calm and calculated in the manga, calculated and aggressive in Part III while she was cold but supportive in Part 5.

Mama was inside her mansion acting as headquarters for the Union when she told Ichiro to come home via her communicator as he dealt with someone. She was pleased and told a Mafia godfather that the enemy of the Tou Tou Clan is dead, he gave her an envelope filled with money. Mama then kissed him and letting him know if there were any more problems to contact her.
After the deal was done, Mama laid in an inflatable ring in her swimming pool asked Lucky that she was getting impatient as he threw TNT at some Formula 1 racing cars and going back to their headquarters. Inside the pool, she gave her client a bag of money underwater. Musasabi Kenroku had arrived and claimed that her union is profitable however she claims that her expenses are through the roof and good help is hard to find, he says that she will find a way to do a job. Her next job she claims was nearly done as she gave it to Fujiko however she had to deal with Lupin III and wanted backup. Lupin contacted Mama thanking her for Fujiko however she sighed that Fujiko had failed to notice Lupin's weakness with women. Kenroku claimed that Lupin had no weakness however she tells him that the Union has a second plan but kept her plan a secret.
"Fujiko" had returned to headquarters and sat on a chair, Mama tells her that she has a plan up her sleeve as "Fujiko" doesn't approve of Kenroku who claims that Lupin taught him everything that he knew as he went to the Lupin School for Thieves however he was also a rival. Another of Mama's henchmen had informed her that she didn't need to do Plan B as Fujiko blew his cock off, she giggled as Kenroku was cosing up to "Fujiko" however Fujiko was really Lupin in disguise and blew up the headquarters of the Union. It is unknown whether Mama had survived the blast.

Mama was changed in the Part III episode The Ruby Sheds Bloody Tears. While she was still part of the Union and still having Lucky and Fujiko working for her, her backstory was changed.
After Mama had died, the members of the Union had their hypnosis broken and wondered why their were in the church as they left.
Part 5[]
Mama returned in Part 5 and unlike her appearance in Part III, she reverted to her manga appearance and had no links to Dracula. In the episode Part 5 Episode 2, she had sent Ichiro and Lucky to deal with Goemon who watched him avoid their attacks and she was impressed while he wondered whether they were with the Union. Mama watched Ichiro use his fishing rod weapon to hook Goemon's Zantetsuken.
In Part 5 Episode 3, she was having a drink in the Bar Dead or Alive where the other assassins who were sent to take out Lupin had attended. Mama asked the Rat Clan Chief how Lupin had managed to slip from the Rat Clan but back chatted as he wondered how the Union had failed to take out Goemon that got Ichiro to grab his fishing rod, she told him to settle down. Lupin had announced on his phone that he was at the ruins of a Nudabale Tribe town and wanted everyone to come. Only showing a drinks cabinet, she told her henchmen to look alive.
Mama, Ichiro and Lucky had arrived at the old town and Goemon knew who they were. According to the Assassin Ranking website that Ami Enan had made, she was ranked 7th on the list while Ichiro was 2nd and Lucky was 16th, one of the people who had messaged was betting on Mama to win so they could receive the Happy Death Day Bit Money fund. As the other assassins were taken out, Mama watched Ichiro as he wanted to take out Goemon using his fishing rod however Goemon using the Zantetsuken had cut off the weights and he turned to Mama annoyed that it happened so he got out two fishing rods but Goemon dealt with Ichiro has he cut off his arms and screamed.
While her death was off screen as she was shown lying on the ground, it was likely that Goemon had killed her.

- Due to lack of awareness when translating the English subtitles of Part III, Mama was renamed to Mommy and the Union was renamed to the Syndicate despite that the audio says Mama and Union.
- In the Manga, she was just known as Mama while Part III and Part 5 credit her as Union Mama.
