- When collected in tankōbon (単行本?) volumes, it became the 91st chapter in Action Comics, and Futabasha Bunko Masterpiece volumes. Since Power Comics volumes part number was added.
- The title of this series is a reference to a Japanese proverb: "Haste makes waste" (急いては事を仕損じる Seite wa Koto o Shisonjiru?).
- This chapter has been merged with the next chapter in the Aizoban and Chuokoron-Shinsha releases as well as the English Tokyopop translation.
- In the episode adaptation, Ichihei was given the name X No. 8 and his torture was done by two men disguised as Lupin III and Daisuke Jigen. The son plotline was dropped.
- Detective Conan Volume 64, as part of its "Detective Picture Book" spotlight on Zenigata, lists this story as Gosho Aoyama's personal recommendation.
