- When collected in tankōbon (単行本?) volumes, the title was simplified by using only the series name, and it became the 78th chapter for Aizoban, Chuokoron-Shinsha, and Tokyopop volumes.
- The original Weekly Manga Action issue categorized this as the second chapter of the A Skilled Villain Hides Its Fangs Series however when it was collected into volumes, this was dropped. While the Futabasha volumes kept the order, in the Aizoban and the Chuokoron-Shinsha volumes as well as the English Tokyopop translation, the previous chapter was later in the manga.[1]
- The title of the series is a reference to a Japanese proverb: "A wise man keeps some if his talents in reserve" (能ある鷹は爪をかくす Nō Aru Taka ha Tsume o Kakusu?).
- Only Page 16 was adapted into the anime as the start of the episode however the idea of the Wanted Club was kept in the episode. The episode expanded the auction and Koichi Zenigata was one of the bidders along with Dr. Mad. Fujiko was replaced by Miss Killer who had a similar character design to her Part II appearance.
