- When collected in tankōbon (単行本?) volumes, it became the 50th chapter in Futabasha volumes, and the 50th chapter in Power Comics, andHyakuten Land Comics volumes, the 52nd chapter in Action Comics, and Futabasha Bunko Masterpiece, and the 51st chapter in Aizoban, Chuokoron-Shinsha, and Tokyopop volumes.
- The original Weekly Manga Action issue categorized this as the second chapter of the Psychedelic Series however when it was collected into volumes, this was dropped moving the other chapters around in the manga.[1]
- Page 7 of the chapter was used in the Pilot Film where Lupin III sets up a plan with unknown henchmen.
- Unlike the above where it was directly lifted, in Part 1 Episode 16 only the tanker, the unnamed woman now named Fujiko Mine looking in the jewelry store and Lupin using a vacuum cleaner to suck up the jewels was adapted. Lupin and Jigen killed the jewellers while in the episode, they were fooling around with Beaver and his henchmen. The chapter had a skull man daring Lupin that only he could see while in the episode, it was Fujiko who dared Lupin to take the lot. Koichi Zenigata also recovers the jewels while in the episode, they eventually get lost in the countryside from an open briefcase.
- Page 21 was partially redrawn in the volume releases due to that the original is lost, Lupin and Jigen have a different character design in the last three panels resembling later manga.
