Kinman is a character of Lupin the 3rd Part 1.
History[]
Not much is known about Kinman (aka Mr. Kinman) apart from that he owns a mansion and is a wealthy person. He smokes cigars and uses a golden lighter that resembles his head with a bow tie.
He ordered Koichi Zenigata to look after his golden bust of himself as Lupin plans to steal the item. The bust was made to celebrate that he was made Number 1 of the International "Who's Who" list. According to Lupin, it cost 300 million yen to make. To protect the bust, he covered his mansion with an anti-explosive plate that conducts electricity if ever touched.
According to the golden items and his portrait, he normally wears a tuxedo however when he encounters Zenigata and throughout the episode, he wears a housecoat.
When Zenigata was checking the security of the mansion, he grabs onto Kinman in an unusual and happy matter. On the second night of the attempted theft, Kinman rushes out hearing that a truck got stuck and his gate cost 10 million yen. He screamed that a truck crashed into it. While that was happening, Lupin stole the bust but activated the power generator causing Kinman to rush back into the mansion.
After Lupin was caught by Zenigata, the bust was put back in however after escaping from his cell, Lupin and the gang disguised as security officers retrieved his bust the next day as Kinman handed it over personally.
Notes[]
- His name is based off the word kinmanka that translates as man of wealth or millionaire.
- Due to animation coloring mistakes, he could have black or gray hair depending on shot.
