Dolmen/CG[]
In 2007, Yamato Video with Dolmen had released five box sets of the series. This was the first release to have the original Japanese audio and complete footage however for the Italian dub, there was an issue with 9 episodes. For the scenes that were cut for broadcast that were either never dubbed, cut and lost or the Italian audio became damaged and was unable to be used, the missing scenes reverted to Japanese with Italian subtitles. [1]
For unknown reasons, some copies have Dolmen printed as the publisher while others are credited to CG.

Anime Factory[]
In 2020, Yamato Video worked with Anime Factory to release the series on both DVD and Blu-ray. While the DVD release was a reprint of the Dolmen release, the Blu-ray release uses the Japanese masters meaning that it was the first time that the home release was uncut in Italy. Originally it was released as a complete box set exclusive to Amazon however three volumes were later released in stores.
On episode 73, the audio in the last five minutes had degraded in TV airings was cleaned up to make it audible. The missing scenes on the previous releases were redubbed appearing to use the dubbed script however since the voice actors passed away, unknown voice actors voiced the missing lines doing impressions of the characters. Since the previews were not dubbed, Theme from Lupin III (Preview/theme 20 seconds) plays on all 155 episodes.[2]

The first volume was €2.99, the second was €5.99 and the rest of the volumes are €10.99 and is a reprint of the Dolmen release[3].

USA[]
This was the first series to be released in the US. Outside of the Streamline VHS releases, they also feature the Japanese original with English subtitles however some episodes have been edited on the Pioneer/Geneon releases with replaced soundtracks and cuts.
Streamline[]
After the release of The Castle of Cagliostro, Streamline dubbed and released the Hayao Miyazaki directed episode Part 2 Episode 145. Due to that the copyright of Arsène Lupin had expired in the US after the dub was completed, the series was named Lupin III: Tales of the Wolf and was the first time that the Lupin III name was officially used in the US. Part 2 Episode 155 was dubbed the following year. Orion had later bought Streamline and released a compilation of the two episodes. While Streamline wanted to continue the series with a 3rd episode, TMS however wanted all episodes dubbed and they were unable to afford the dubs[4]. Streamline was later closed down in 1997 but was officially closed in 2002.
The two episodes are English dub only and used the Cliff Hanger masters that TMS had produced for export markets.

Pioneer/Geneon (2003-2006)[]
In 2002, Pioneer had announced that they had the rights to Part II for seven years and released the first volume in 2003 as Lupin the 3rd. Pioneer had later changed its name to Geneon with Volumes 5 to 9 having both names. After Volume 15 in 2006, Geneon was unable to continue the English dub or the DVD releases and had later closed down with the remains being NBC Universal Japan.
Geneon had used the International masters where the opening/credits were altered, episodes had changes from mistake fixes to censorship on brand names. Some episodes had the soundtrack replaced in both Japanese and English and an episode was also cut due to copyright reasons. To Be or Nazi Be was moved from episode 3 to episode 26 due to the subject matter was uncomfortable to release at the time.
A press kit version of Volume 1 was made for promotion that also included Lupin the 3rd Sideburn Club Mix CD, a watch, toy handcuffs, clip on sideburns and a T-shirt using a custom box with a sticker advertising its airing on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network in 2003. The sideburns and the T-shirt also additionally credit the series under its original name.[5] Volumes 1-3 had a bundle pack and some volumes also included a Choro Q car bundle.

Discotek Media (2017-2020)[]
In 2017, Discotek had released the first collection on DVD and finished with Collection 4 in 2020. It uses the Japanese masters, the same source as the VAP HD master DVD/Blu-ray. The decision to release on DVD was due to that the Japanese Blu-rays are an upscale[6][7]and was one of the last Discotek DVD releases before they switched to Blu-ray only.
The cover art for Collection 1 that appeared on Discotek Media, RightStuf Anime, Amazon and on the TMS USA website used a placeholder design by Brady Hartel however the wiki uses the correct final design. This cover was later touched up for Collection 4.
