Hamegg is a character from Lupin the Third Part II.
Character History[]
Hamegg is the assistant of the Miami Bank and Garlic is his boss. Not much is known about him, he appears to be either depressed or stressed out however he also smiles.
He opened the door to Garlic's office as Garlic wanted to see him but the door handle was broken, he threw the door knob away. Garlic tells him that the last amount of money from the bank was taken making them bankrupt and unable to get any more customers as Hamegg was falling from the rotten floor boards, they were the only two staff members left and he sat down in his chair but it broken and fell on the floor. Garlic patted the dust from his back telling him that the bank would have to close down and thinking that there was one thing that he could do as now his desk got broken. Garlic asked Hamegg the only thing that he could and that was to arrange for Lupin III to steal the bank as he smiled.
In a helicopter around the area, he announced from a microphone as an important message that a local bank received a notice from Lupin however he was unaware of the target.
He was then standing in front of the vault while Garlic was waiting for Lupin to attend the bank that he begged him to. Lupin managed to drill towards the vault room and entered as Garlic was listening to the drilling and quickly got out of the way. Hamegg pulled a rope with balloons and confetti coming down. As Garlic shook Lupin's hand, Hamegg put a white rose on his red jacket then dragged towards the safe by Garlic.
The next day, Hamegg returned to the helicopter and announced that he invited people to go to the "bank of sunshine", the bank that Lupin was unable to steal from and save to deposit your savings. He also claimed that the Miami Bank was the safest, most secure bank in the world. Thanks to the advertisement, the bank was full with people queuing up to take their money as Garlic hired extra staff to run the bank. He peeped through the door and was happy with the people coming in, so happy that he was shaking hands and dancing with Hamegg then hugged as they gave themselves "congratulations".
Hamegg rushed to the office saying that it was an emergency and told Garlic that the safe cannot be opened, he jumped onto the desk being surprised as people were angry that they can't get their money to the point of throwing stones at Garlic's office. Garlic ran to the safe room and saw a technician with Hamegg saying that someone has changed the code and they can't open it. Garlic rubbed his face and ordered to call the manufacturer.
After Lupin successfully completed the heist, Garlic and Hamegg sat next to each other on the floor thinking that it was the end for the bank. It turned out that the press came and asked Garlic how it felt being robbed by Lupin, his story was on the newspapers.
A year later, the branch was completely refurbished and Hamegg got a new suit while holding a note due to that Lupin gave the bank publicity and made it successful.
