Lupin III Chapter 12 is titled "Lupin Empire in Good Health".
Synopsis[]
At a hospital, a nurse approaches a heavily bandaged patient and asks his name. The doctor tells her not to bother. A man with a long fringe and an eyepatch comes in to inspect the bandaged man. He pulls a gun on the patient, but the patient shoots him first. The bandaged man tries to leave the hospital, but passes out. When he comes to, the bandaged man, revealed to be Lupin III, finds himself in a house with one of the Fujiko Mines. Lupin sees a figure of a bearded man in a fedora at the window and recognises him. Fujiko tries to drag him away, but Lupin insists the figure is his friend. Fujiko reminds him that everyone is out to get him, even Daisuke Jigen. Lupin tells her he wants to see his father, but Fujiko tells him Lupin II was killed in the crash. Lupin is beside himself with grief and wants to know who did it. Fujiko says she doesn't know. As Lupin howls into his mattress, Fujiko guesses that the one who killed his father was probably the same person who tried to kill him. Downstairs, she greets a doctor and warns him that the crime boss King will be here soon. The doctor then shoots at Lupin. Outside, King, Jigen and their driver arrive at the house, and at first they're convinced the job is done, but Jigen looks closer and finds that the bandaged corpse is the doctor.
Outside the house, Fujiko tells Lupin that the doctor was the one who killed his father. Unfortunately, the doctor Lupin killed was her father, and he only killed Lupin the Second because King muscled him into it.
On the road, King and Jigen go for a drive, but thanks to Lupin's tinkering it ends in disaster.
Later, Fujiko brings a bound Lupin to King. While Fujiko makes out with King, Jigen places the bound Lupin in an open grave. Lupin correctly guesses that Jigen is with King because he's holding his sister hostage. He then notices Lupin's shoe is missing. It turns out the shoe was a bomb, and it's about to go off.
