George McFly is a character who appeared in Episode 0: First Contact.
Character History[]
George is considered an elite officer and works at the file storage room, he was assigned by Director Crawford to assist Koichi Zenigata as his partner. He appears to be depressed and laid back.
After Zenigata failed to impress Crawford, he told him to get over it as there was no use and to not cause any more trouble. After finishing typing on his ancient typewriter, he stopped to get himself a drink and introduced himself to Zenigata while he doubted. As a reaction, Zenigata's jaw dropped by the shock.
He went to the diner with Zenigata as he struggled to order a "hambargar" however George requested for a burger that the waitress easily understood, Zenigata wanted ten of them and he wanted two coffees. He watched Zenigata pay for the food however it turned out not to be enough. George looked at the profile of Fujiko Mine that she that her age and nationality are unknown as well as that she was involved with jewelry and art thefts who fled overseas. He closed the file while Zenigata was eating his ten burgers who says that eating builds your strength to do the job right however George believes that you don't need much physical strength to do research and wonders whether everyone in Japan is a workaholic. After Zenigata called him "lazy" and walked off, he scratched his head repeating what he said "I've got my own way of doing things" and left the diner. They walked down the street unaware that Lupin III and Fujiko are nearby.
Back in the station while Zenigata was researching, George was watching a movie and eating popcorn. After Lupin sent his calling card and hack the computers, he showed Zenigata a copy as he sent it to the police station while having a donut. While George was finishing his donut, Zenigata reads that Lupin will be at the Dollarhyde Trading Company Headquarters to steal the treasure tomorrow at 9PM. George knows that's what Lupin wants and asks whether Zenigata wants more information. Zenigata shook him wanting more on "Lupin III" but with a smile, George tells him that they are in the file storage room.
While Crawford was having his conference, George tried to stop Zenigata however he was unable to and shouts to the Director that Lupin is connected to Fujiko. Crawford however tells him that the operation was meant to be a secret and calls Zenigata obnoxious, the officers took him away while George just stood there looking and sighs. Since the press overwhelmed Crawford, George and Zenigata arrived in a taxi. Zenigata wonders why was it out in the open but George reckons that Lupin did this and that he sent the notice to the media as well. As Zenigata wants to arrest Lupin and was pushed back to the sewer lid by the other officers, he tells him that Crawford would be upset if Zenigata stays around however he was annoyed that he wants to get Lupin and wants another way into the building but quickly finds the sewer. George did not want to go there due to the smell as Zenigata jumped in.
While Zenigata was going after Lupin, George was by the TV news van and noticed a knock. He opened the door to find Crawford tied up and removed the tape from his mouth.
As they were walking around New York, George told Zenigata to give up as they were at a rough part of the city and that an officer could get shot for being alone. Zenigata reading the case file thought that it was a perfect hideout for Lupin however George thought that he was looking for Fujiko yet Zenigata believes that he can catch both. With his hands out as they stopped, he tells Zenigata that even if they succeed, it wouldn't stop all the crimes in the world causing him to turn around thinking that it is what George thinks but he stuttered as a gang member noticed the smell of cops and tells them to "pay a fee" (bribe) to enter. Zenigata smiled and joked thinking that it was a safari park but George panicked. The gang gathered around and Zenigata took them out off screen causing George to be surprised as he grabbed a gang member and tells them that someone along the description of Lupin was 3 blocks up and fell to the ground. As Zenigata walked off, George asked where he was going in a worry and he just says that he is investigating and advised George to go home as he won't stop him. While walking together, he didn't understand and wondered why he was dedicated but Zenigata wasn't sure himself yet believes it is what being a cop is all about. George gasped and stood as Zenigata went to look for Lupin.
They arrived at Lupin's hideout and noticed Daisuke Jigen who was an amazing gunman, George thought that he is a friend of Lupin but tells Zenigata that he is hired by Galvez and wondered how Jigen and Goemon Ishikawa XIII were involved earlier. Zenigata got out his jutte and was about to leave the window but George grabbed his arm and suggested to wait for backup however he just jumped off. After seeing Lupin dealt with Zenigata, he arrived and "told you so" but Zenigata told him to shut up.
George witnessed Zenigata being arrested by Crawford who wants to deport him back to Japan, Crawford doesn't care about the seriousness of Lupin's crimes or Zenigata's evidence that he ripped up. Zenigata wanted to George to tell him what happened but he was too scared to tell Crawford. As Crawford left, Zenigata asked George to free him but he walked off saying that it was the end. George later came back for the keys to free Zenigata as he inspired him to be a bit of a rebel again due to Zenigata's dedication.
In the park, George is riding on a scooter with Zenigata behind him, Zenigata complained to make it go faster as he explains that it is as fast as it goes when they see Fujiko on a motorbike with the scroll. They turn around and chase after her, as they jumped over a rock Zenigata grabbed onto Fujiko and George crashed onto a tree as the scooter exploded. George waved over and rubbed his head as the squad cars came to the park to arrest the gangsters. Zenigata arrived and waving to say that he arrested Lupin but ends up arresting Galvez, he wonders after waving back causing Zenigata to get annoyed. Crawford was happy that "Zenigata" managed to arrest Galvez and his gang but ends up getting arrested as Zenigata thought that he was Lupin, George also thought that Crawford was Lupin as Zenigata thought that it was the end but he knows that it isn't like him. Zenigata wouldn't give up causing George to nod and suggests for him to join the ICPO, explaining about Interpol and that if Zenigata works for them, he can chase Lupin around the world. Zenigata vows to arrest Lupin.
After Lupin and his gang had done more heists, George holding a walking stick is now wearing a cap and casual clothes watching as a Lupin balloon saying "The World is Mine" were leaving parcels around the city. This hints that he might have retired from the police however it is unknown for certain.
