Gebobee is a character of Lupin the 3rd Part 2.
History[]
Gebobee is an inventor or as he calls himself a wacky scientist, his most famous work is the Light Saber from Star Wars however he forgot to patent it and why he considers himself poor. While his inventions work, they have problems in terms of build quality.
While Lupin III and Daisuke Jigen are fishing in Panama, Lupin was unable to catch a swordfish and Gebobee got up from his chair as it was his turn. Jigen wonders since there was no fishing line on the gun however with a wink he tells him that he knows that fishing lines break. Lupin asks how to hook a fish with his gun and he tells him that you don't as he uses an electronic device to grab the fish and pull it later. He introduces himself to Lupin and Jigen while showing off his Light Saber causing them to be surprised, he then puts his hands behind his back regretting his mistake yet laughs about it.
Gebobee demonstrates to Lupin and Jigen his latest invention, the "Electric Light Adhesive Beam Reel". While it did manage to caught the swordfish, the gun started to overheat and he had to let go then it caused the boat to caught on fire. Lupin, Jigen and Gebobee laid on the floor as it managed to be okay.
On the day of the heist where Lupin that was pushed to steal the jewellery collection at Tiffany's, Gebobee was in the Plaza Hotel testing his invention with a specially made testing machine. Lupin was preparing the beam gun as Fujiko Mine reminds him that he didn't have much time, he asked him about his casting rod. While Gebobee was happy that his beam gun is nearly finished, Lupin says that his was finished but then the tip started to bend as he tried to aim and gasped as he thought that he broke it.
They moved to the rooftops along with Goemon Ishikawa XIII as they waited until midnight. Then he saw Jigen controlling a crane moving Goemon down to use his Zantetsuken as the building started to move making the shop floor exposed. Afterwards Gebobee, Lupin and Fujiko moved down in the crane to the top of Tiffany's to use their beam guns to steal the jewellery. He saw Koichi Zenigata and Lupin talk to each other, then Lupin used the beam gun to stun Zenigata as he wanted to do some "fishing" and broke the glass to start stealing. After Lupin told them to get every piece of jewellery, he along with Gebobee and Fujiko used the beam guns. As Lupin and Fujiko were impressed with their loot, Gebobee asks him whether they were impressed with the power of the beam and whether he was a brilliant scientist while Lupin replied that had he been on the right path, he would have got a Nobel prize. They continued stealing until everything has been taken.
