Galtan Borgia is a character of Lupin the 3rd Part 2.
History[]
Galtan was a magician who was the youngest successor to the Borgia bloodline. Despite his calm appearance, he was a sinister character using tricks and abuse to get what he wants.
Fujiko Mine lured Lupin III to the Borgia Mansion as she wanted him to steal "The Poison Trio". Galtan had greeted Lupin as he arrived via a magic carpet and Lupin asked him where he got the carpet, he walked towards Lupin and told him that he learnt Indian magic as he expected him. Lupin thought that he is a "high-class Indian" due to his "perfect reception". He smiled and quickly looked away as a truck came to the entrance of the mansion. The truck revealed a news reporter who turned out to be Fujiko in disguise. He asked Lupin, Daisuke Jigen and Goemon Ishikawa XIII to follow him inside.
Galtan asked Lupin to get his aunt Lucrezia Borgia out of jail and hoped that he would succeed, Lupin asked why. He had tried various ways of getting Lucrezia out however he failed every time, she is his only living relative and doesn't want her to die. Lupin agreed but asked for what he wanted, Galtan nodded and went towards a skull and crossbones door that opened then pulled a cloth covering the fish tank. He then went to the medicine cabinet and got a bottle of poison that is family made, he poured it on the fish causing it to be killed. Then he pulled another cloth on a smaller table and smiled as he shows them "The Poison Trio". A 200 carat ruby called The Poisonous Flower, a 200 carat sapphire called The Poisonous Star and a 120 carat diamond called The Poisonous Queen. He smiled as he gave Lupin the choice between the poison or the jewellery, Lupin says that it is obvious what he chooses, Goemon wonders since it is a family heirloom and Jigen knows that Lupin has something on his mind. Galtan then nodded and smiled as he chose the poison.
Driving in a police van, Galtan disguised himself as Koichi Zenigata and took them to the prison. He went to the chief informing and saluted to him that he has three criminals, he leaves Lupin and his cohorts to the hands of the prison as they were handcuffed on a rail. The chief was happy that "Zenigata" finally caught Lupin and shook his hands congratulating him. Since it was "his duty", he gave the rail to the chief as they went to the cells. Galtan under his breath hopes that they can handle it.
As Lupin was ready to free Lucrezia, back in the police van Galtan removed his face mask and waited for their escape. The flying bed was dropping down so he smiled, drove slowly and opened the doors so the bed could land in the van. The bed landed successfully and drove off.
Lupin opened the window and gave him the okay sign knowing that it was successful, he claimed that his auntie is sleeping nicely and claiming that she will wake up happy. Galtan was unsure that that it is right and Lupin asked for his request that he will give him at his home. He noticed a police helicopter but it had a magnet underneath, he was worried when someone threw tacks on the road causing the front tires to be flat. Getting out of the van, he noticed that it was within his path and Jigen stood on the tack being in pain, Lupin was annoyed when the helicopter flew the other way. Galtan asked Lupin whether he could get rid of them while changing the tires, they agreed. Goemon was sweeping the tacks thinking that it was work of ninjas, Jigen thought that they were Japanese and had a hunch and Lupin picked up a tack saying Made in Japan. The helicopter swooped down and picked up the van, Galtan said goodbye and called Lupin stupid as Fujiko was working for him. Since Jigen knew, he put a tracker on the bed.
The helicopter was flying towards the Mediterranean Sea and landed on a sea mansion in the small island of Port-Cros. As Fujiko and Lucrezia have a talk, it is revealed that Galtan is after the treasure that only she knows the location. Lucrezia also shows Fujiko a burn that Galtan had done to her while he was spying behind a pillar and was walking towards them. He told Fujiko to stop talking nonsense and not to go too far however she says that she is only doing as promised and points a gun towards him. Galtan walked back and mentioned poisonous ink that she was after, he went into his jacket and got out The Poisonous Flower. Appearing as a bat illusion, it went towards Fujiko and hit her on the face. He then shows her the power of the black magic passed down from the family and ties her up using colored ribbons, he moved his right hand as Fujiko floated up. She asked him what he was going to do and he told to float there for a while.
Galtan then went towards Lucrezia saying that it was a long time ago, she asks him that he was happy with her out of prison however he isn't until she tells him the location of the treasure. Lucrezia told him to give it up as she won't tell him. He was deviously thinking and got out a needle with a diamond point, his plan was to jab her with the poisonous needle to tell him everything. As he get closer to her with the needle, she was stressed out and tried to move away however he managed to prick her in the neck as she fell asleep. Galtan says that if she tells him he is happy to send her anywhere she wants whether in jail or hell.
Lucrezia was terrified as she covered her mouth and he forced her to tell her, she stood up and he pressed on for the treasure of the Borgia. She tells him that when he was a kid, he played at the lighthouse nearby to play. There were no stairs or doors but the light was "beautiful" as Galtan looked at the lighthouse. He shouted and pointed at the building saying whether the treasure is hidden there however she said that it was not that. Galtan went closer towards Lucrezia pushing for more and she sweated as she struggled to say that the light bulb at the lighthouse were diamonds, she then fainted towards the chair. He got the information, told her to rest and ran to the lighthouse.
Zenigata thinking that he was a woman thought that Galtan was a "charming person" and followed him. Galtan stood in front of the lighthouse and moved his hands as a nearby rope was going up to the railings, when it was finished he climbed up however a lovestruck Zenigata followed him up. He reached the railings and saw the jewels, he then opened the door and went to touch them as he found Borgia's treasure. While he was really happy, Zenigata was behind him and called it pretty. Galtan however thought that she was Lucrezia and got a dagger to lift the jewels up to his hands as he got it. Zenigata thought that it was wonderful and kissed him, Galtan wondered who she was and he winked at him. This gave Galtan a scare as he realised that she was not Lucrezia, Zenigata then hugged him and saying his name. He stuttered as he figured out that he was the inspector and put his hands on his shoulders as a shock. Galtan quickly slapped him and told him not to come closer, Zenigata wondered why and grabbed hold of him making Galtan uncomfortable. Lupin climbed up the rope and Galtan pushed Zenigata back to the floor quickly waving his hand causing the rope to fall, Lupin grabbed onto the railing and climbed up. As Galtan was ready to stomp his hands, Zenigata got up and gave him an uncomfortable hug then he fainted.
The lighthouse then showed reflected light and Lupin told them that it was about to explode however Galtan threw ribbons at him, Zenigata kissed him making the ribbons go off course and he got pushed back towards Lupin. Galtan thought that it was gross as Lupin grabbed onto Zenigata and fell off the lighthouse to the sea, he grabbed onto the railing thinking that the treasure belongs to him however screamed as the lighthouse became a rocket and went to the sky. The lighthouse then exploded along with Galtan.

- A character called Galtan later appeared in Space Adventure Cobra, both are magicians who are villains. The differences are that Galtan had assistants and that he was a genie unlike his Lupin counterpart.
