The Fiat 500 (Italian: Cinquecento, pronounced [ˌtʃiŋkweˈtʃɛnto]) is a rear-engined, four-seat, small city car that was manufactured and marketed by Fiat Automobiles from 1957 to 1975 over a single generation, in two-door saloon and two-door station wagon bodystyles.
In most of its appearances in Lupin III media, it is usually colored yellow, but in some other appearances it is colored light teal. This is visually lampshaded in the first act of Green vs. Red, where the Lupin impostors gather in large amounts, all while driving yellow or light teal Fiats.
Yasuo Otsuka and Hayao Miyazaki both had a passion for small European cars; Miyazaki's first car, for instance, was a Citroën 2CV, while Otsuka's first car was a Fiat 500.[1][2] Because of that, they included light teal Fiat 500's in Lupin the 3rd Part 1, but the car rose to even greater prominence in Lupin III for its appearance in The Castle of Cagliostro, the first time a yellow Fiat 500 was seen with Lupin. Since then, it has appeared in multiple Lupin TV Specials, series and OVAs, mostly replacing the yellow Mercedes-Benz SSK as the Lupin gang's primary vehicle of choice.

Notes[]
- The Fiat 500 shows up in The Last Job, however it is not actually driven by Lupin's gang in both the official posters and in the special itself, despite what the trailer footage shows.
- On top of his shared passion of small European cars with Otsuka, Miyazaki insisted on making Lupin drive a Fiat 500 for Castle of Cagliostro to symbolize him growing up and maturing, where Lupin no longer drove a Benz SSK simply because it was Hitler's favorite car.[3] It is why he is only seen driving the SSK in flashback scenes in the movie.
