Dr. Mad was a character from Lupin the Third Part II.

Background History[]

Dr. Mad had Miss Killer capture Daisuke Jigen and Fujiko Mine before buying them off of her so he can experiment on them and turn them into cyborgs to commit crimes. He then arrived just in time to buy Lupin III off of her. Once Lupin is driven to his mansion, he imprisons him in a cell and shoots him in the head with a tranquilizer before placing him on an artificial island, where he can watch him through surveillance cameras disguised as seagulls. Fujiko tries to escape, but Dr. Mad has her recaptured. He then sends in a robot disguised as Jigen, but the plan fails when Lupin unmasks and detonates him. Lupin calls for Dr. Mad to show himself, but the mad researcher refuses. He reveals to Lupin that he has Jigen and Fujiko locked in his basement. Lupin reveals to him that this basement isn't far from where he's standing. He then disappears behind a cliff wall. Dr. Mad wonders where he's gone. He watches as Lupin takes a swan dive off the cliff, not realizing that it was a wooden dummy in Lupin's clothes. Freeing Jigen and Fujiko offscreen, Lupin appears from behind Dr. Mad and shoots him in the head with his own tranquilizer gun, before leaving him on the island to be shot down by his own robots.
