André (アンドレ, Andore) is a guest character in Part 2 Episode 101, only in part modeled after André Grandier from the manga The Rose of Versailles.
Character history[]
André was a high ranking noble, serving under a Versailles' branch of royal army, and Oscar's kind-hearted boyfriend. Their eternal love ended fruitless due, sometime before the onset of the French Revolution, he was cursed by the famous Queen Marie Antoinette's jealous rage to turn into stone.
Because still faithful to their empress just like him, and directly affected by Marie Antoinette's death, Oscar cannot betray her memory breaking her curse and return him to a normal state. Not having other changes, she then turned herself completely naked, of course doesn't feeling any shame for that, into a stone at the isolated shores of Normandy at night of September 11, thanks to her great friend Lupin III and just before the police's arrive. Their love is eternal, and nobody can interrupt it.
