Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 - April 30, 1945) was the leader of the Nazi Party who ruled Germany in the 1930s and during World War II.
Character history[]
Please note that this only refers to his appearance in the Lupin III franchise, for more information check out on Wikipedia.
Hitler had bad grades when he was at school and according to his teachers his behavior is known to be self centered and needs more compassion for others.[1] One of his tests for mathematics was 25 out of a 100 where his teacher told him that he was lacking in effort and to work harder. When he became Nazi leader, it is known that he tasked Kreuzen Genhardt who was a Secret Security Officer to dispose his embarrassment in a sunken ship at the bottom of the ocean 40 nautical miles off the island of Logos in the Mediterranean.[1] Another officer who worked with him was Albert Eschenbach who was ordered to put 50 tons of gold ingots into a submarine that was then sunk.[2]
During World War II, descendants of the Red Ghost had controlled the Nazi Party from the shadows. Hitler gave out a speech towards the Nazi party as tanks had fired and patrolled down an unknown city.[3]
Hitler has appeared in The Mystery of Mamo where Lupin III saluted him when he saw him at the Caribbean island.
It was also during WWII that Hitler took interest in uncovering artifacts from the Holy Land, including the Tower of Babel. This led to him overtaking a pre-existing excavation outside of Baghdad, kicking out the original dig team, one of whom would later become the father of New York mobster Marciano.[4]
Lupin disguised himself as Hitler in three occasions. The first time was to trick Genhardt to give him the location for the briefcase. The other occasion was in the Hexagon where Eschenbach went to his office and told him that Lupin had stolen the gold who was outraged and told him to get it back. After talking about the submarine that wasn't destroyed, he laughed and took off his disguise. In Lupin III: The First, Lupin disguised himself as Hitler to fool Gerald into getting to the Eclipse and gave him a Mauser however Laetitia grabbed it and was going to shoot Hitler unaware that he was Lupin, she was taken away by Daisuke Jigen. After Lupin took control of the Eclipse and removed his disguise, Gerald thought that he was still alive but Lupin told him that he was dead in 1945. Interpol then made fake photos of Hitler as an old man in a wheelchair, they were circulated to see if anyone would react.
Notes[]
- Hatler is a parody of Hitler.
- For his appearances outside of Lupin disguising himself as Hitler, archive footage was used from his speeches that contained his voice.
